The answer, per game
Every game below is one we track, and every entry in the right-hand column comes from a player describing the route they used, not from our guess at where a menu ought to be. The middle column is the part that produces the search.

The Genshin row is from the official redemption page's own behaviour; the rest are from the player threads kept in our source library, quoted in the sections below.
“Is there a way to input redeem codes not on PC?”
Asked in the Wuthering Waves threads we follow, by someone away from their machine with a code about to run out:
“Is there a way to input redeem codes not on PC? I’m away from my PC and won’t be back until tomorrow evening :(”
The answer is yes, and the route is the same on every platform — it is just written as a path rather than a location:
“Open the game on whatever console/mobile/PC and open the Terminal, than click on the Settings icon in the bottom right corner. Select the Other Settings tab from the menu. Find “Redemption Code” under…”
That is the whole of it, and it is worth noticing how it is phrased: whatever console/mobile/PC. The box is not platform-specific in this game; only the menu path is awkward. The same thread then spends a paragraph arguing about whether you can be signed in on two devices at once, which is the second thing people get stuck on — and the answer there is that the account is the account, and the code is claimed once against it.
“Why is there no where to enter promo codes ?”
This one is from the Raid: Shadow Legends threads, and it is the clearest case in the whole set of a question with a real answer that sounds like a brush-off. Asked in September 2026:
“Why is there no where to enter promo codes ?”
The honest answer is that in this game there often is no in-game box, and when there is one it can refuse you for a reason that has nothing to do with the code:
“It says “sorry, this promo code is available on a different platform””
“For clarity, this is the error I get from within the game, on Android.”
Read those two together and the shape of the problem is obvious. The code was never judged. The client looked at where you were typing and stopped there. The fix in that thread is one line, and it is the same fix as the AFK Journey route above — leave the game:
“redeem it on the website and you will bypass the problem”
The same thread contains the other half of this, which is that the players who have been around longest are not looking for an entry point at all — they are looking for a status:
“Im a veteran player and having issues finding codes that are invalid or expired”
That is a different failure with a different fix, and we have written about why codes die elsewhere. What matters here is that “nowhere to type it” and “it did not work” are two complaints that arrive in the same sentence and need separating before you spend an evening on the wrong one.
“How to use redeem codes?”
From the AFK Journey threads we follow. The player asking is not a beginner looking for a code — they are already holding one, delivered by the game itself, and cannot find the box:
“How to use redeem codes?”
“I havent played in forever and I got a letter from a character named Zorya with a code but I dont know how to…”
The thread is marked solved, because the answer is two menu names and nothing else:
“Settings > Others > Redeem Code”
“In settings go to other and once you click there is a part where it says redeem code. That’s it”
That is the whole route. Note where it is not: it is not in the lobby, and it is not on the mail screen that just handed you the code. A player who follows the letter to the mailbox will stand there looking at a working code with no field to paste it into, which is exactly how the question gets asked by people who are not confused about anything else.
One more line from the same answer, because it is the useful habit rather than the route: “Be sure to check online for other active codes as well!”
The three where the box is not the hard part
For the remaining games the entry point is the easy half, so we are listing it and the thing that actually stops people.
Star Rail: the box is on your own profile
From the Star Rail threads, quoted as written — the first line is the part people miss, and the second is the route:
“You dont have to log in to the game to use the codes”
“I was able to redeem them in game. Just click on the three dots on the smartphone where you see the option to edit the trailblazer profile. There should be a redemption code option.”
Blue Archive: iOS is a different route, not a different button
On Android the coupon box is in the game. On iOS it is not, and the player has to fetch an identifier from the game first. From the Blue Archive threads, quoted as written:
“Unless you’re on iOS where you instead must go get your member ID by logging in to the game > touching the icon in the upper right corner > Press [Menu Tab] > [Account] > [Customer Center] > and then …”
That is four taps before you have the thing you need, and then the web page. It is the same game, the same code and the same reward as the Android route — only the route differs, which is why “the code did not work on my iPhone” is usually not about the code.
Genshin Impact: iOS has no in-game menu, and linking has a trap
Two facts from the official redemption page's own behaviour, both of which cost people a code:
- iOS has no in-game redemption menu. The web page is the only route on that platform, not a convenience.
- Creating a HoYoverse account on the web and then linking a PlayStation account can permanently break that link. The order you do those two things in matters, and the page does not warn you until you have done it.

What we cannot tell you about this
We can tell you where the box was when a player last described it, and we date every code we track so you can see which list is being maintained. We cannot tell you that a menu path is still correct today — a patch can move a setting, and we do not play these games, so a moved menu is something we would only learn from the same threads you read. We also cannot tell you whether a given code is locked to your platform or region: that is decided on the publisher's side and is not printed on the code.
None of the quotes above are official statements. They are player posts kept in our source library as they were written, and we have not verified the individual posts.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not find the redeem box in the game at all?
Because in at least one of the games we track there is no box inside the game to find. Raid: Shadow Legends redeems on its website, and on Android the in-game attempt is refused with a platform mismatch rather than an invalid-code message.
Does every code have a web redemption page?
No. Wuthering Waves has no redeem website at all — the in-game Terminal is the only route, and players away from their PC can still use it from a phone or a console.
Can I redeem a code on my phone if the box is only on PC?
For the games we track, yes, with one exception that is about the platform rather than the device. Star Rail and Wuthering Waves both redeem in game on mobile. Genshin Impact has no in-game redemption menu on iOS, so that platform uses the web page.
Why does the game say the code is for a different platform?
Because it is refusing where you are typing, not what you typed. The fix quoted in the player threads is to redeem on the web page instead, which bypasses the platform check in the client.
My code arrived by in-game mail but there is nowhere to enter it. Why?
That is the AFK Journey shape of the problem: the letter that delivers a code lands in your mailbox, and the field that accepts it is under Settings, then Others, then Redeem Code. The two are not near each other.
Is the entry point the same on iOS and Android?
Not for Blue Archive. Android redeems inside the game; iOS requires a member ID taken from the game first and then the web coupon page. Same code, different route.
